Choose the correct cod
Fresh cod can be purchased in port cities, but not in Moscow. Choose cooled cod instead of frozen one - cooled cod is tastier. Fresh cod has finely fitting, small cells. You should better to chose the cod filet in vacuum treatment: you can be sure that you buy only filet without bones and skin. It's better to take frozen cod out off freezer and put into refrigerator 8-9 hours before cooking.

Greens - 1 bundle
Carrot - 1
Cucumber pickle - 200 grams
Tomato sauce - 200 grams

Boil water with spices, add cucumber pickle, put sliced cod in a raw and boil for 15 minutes. Take the cooked fish out of broth, put it skin up on to the plate, top with tomato sauce or olive oil.
Serve with boiled potatoes, lemon. You may garnish the dish with boiled shrimps.
